Tara Montazeri

AMFT (#144076)

  • Tara Montazeri is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #144076) with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from California State University, Northridge.

    Tara is passionate about working with adolescents, teens, and young adults, and supporting clients of all ages through their self-exploration journey. She understands that the individual and community are connected, and finds value in acknowledging the roles of different systems in a client’s life. She has experience working with middle school and high school clients in the school-based program.

    Outside of therapy, Tara loves to attend concerts and spend quality time with her two dogs. During her undergraduate years, Tara was in her school’s competitive a cappella group and still cherishes her musical side.

  • As a child of immigrants, Tara feels strongly about acknowledging the role of family systems and generational factors. She works with a multicultural and LGBTQ+ affirming lens, taking different aspects of one’s life and circumstances into account. Tara views therapy as a collaborative process and aims to be thoughtful to the needs of each client.

Ben Lewis

AMFT (#144832)

  • Ben Lewis is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #144832) who received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and his Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Northridge.

    Ben developed a particular interest in working with clients impacted by loneliness, divorce and addiction during his clinical tenure as a therapist at Child & Teen Counseling in Woodland Hills where he specialized in working with children, adolescents, and families navigating conflict, behavioral issues, and communication breakdowns.

    Ben celebrated 10 years in continuous recovery in 2024 and in his free time, you can find him listening to podcasts, going to the gym, shuffling up some Magic the Gathering cards with friends, or making beats on Logic Pro X.

  • Ben incorporates multiple therapeutic modalities including humanistic, dialectical behavioral, structural and systemic approaches. He is also of the belief that one genuine therapeutic relationship between a client and therapist is worth a thousand interventions. Ben employs a direct, yet sensitive and empathic approach and is skilled in play therapy, communication training, conflict resolution, and parental coaching.

Shireen Shahidi

AMFT (#131353)

  • Shireen Shahidi is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #13153). She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Theology and Religious Studies from the University of San Diego.

    Shireen focuses on working with adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, and trauma. She has worked in community mental health with a variety of diverse clients. During her graduate studies, Shireen worked with clients who suffered from major mood disorders and has extensive knowledge in that area of psychology.

  • Shireen utilizes various effective methods to help her clients achieve their goals. She is committed to providing trauma-informed and humanistic approaches in her sessions, which helps her clients to grow and become the best versions of themselves. Shireen places great importance on communication and works hard to establish a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients built on trust and honesty. Her approach is well-rounded and holistic, focusing on the whole person and ensuring that her clients receive the support and guidance they need to lead fulfilling lives.

Troi Jefferson

APCC (#12644), AMFT (#137030)

  • Troi Jefferson is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #137030) and a Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #12644). She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern University and A&M College.

    Troi focuses on working with children and young adults who struggle with trauma, depression, and anxiety. She has worked with clients from a variety of diverse backgrounds.

    Troi is a former D1 athlete, and outside of therapy she is a passionate volleyball coach. She has been coaching competitive volleyball for over eight years, including Girls Junior National Qualifiers.

  • Troi uses a combination of trauma-informed and humanistic approaches to help her clients identify and address their unhealthy coping mechanisms in order to live a more fulfilling life. She values sincerity and strives to build a strong therapeutic relationship through trust, respect, consistency, and humor. Negeen Moussavian

  • Negeen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#129033) and a trained EMDR therapist. She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Prior to Pepperdine University, Negeen studied at the University of San Diego where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

    Negeen specializes in working with individuals who are struggling with dating, relationships, and trauma. Negeen also has extensive experience working with children and individuals struggling with addiction.

Jackson Wall

  • Jackson Wall is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#140783) and a trained EMDR therapist. Leo proudly served in the United States military for 4 years before entering the mental health field.

  • Drawing on his military service, Leo offers valuable experience to guide you through life's challenges. Fluent in Spanish and English, Leo specializes in addressing concerns like domestic violence, trauma, and family dynamics. With expertise in working with autism, Leo also brings a nuanced understanding to support individuals and families.

Amit Dave

AMFT (#125539)

  • Amit Davé is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #125539. He completed his Masters in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University, and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Boston University.

    Amit has worked with adults, teens, and tweens facing a variety of challenges. Amit previously worked at the Family Service Agency of Burbank. In a previous life, he worked in post-production as a producer and manager. Amit has also been studying martial arts and holds a second degree black belt in Aikido.

Curt Widhalm

  • Curt Widhalm is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (#47333) with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis from Saint Joseph’s University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Montana State University. He has clinical experience with clients from a variety of different backgrounds, ages, experiences, and reasons for seeking help.

    Curt has worked in clinical, school, and community mental health settings. His background work includes work with children, adults, couples, families, and groups. He recognizes that each client is unique and requires an individualized approach for the best possible treatment outcome. He is certified in EMDR, which is a specialized approach to working with clients who have undergone trauma.

    Curt has been an active member of the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists (CAMFT) since 2006 He has served as the Chief Financial Officer and as a Member at Large on the CAMFT State Board of Directors and as the Past President of the San Fernando Valley Chapter. Curt is a CAMFT Certified Supervisor, and he has received numerous awards for his work within the therapeutic community at both the local and state levels. Curt also teaches in the Marriage and Family Therapist Master’s Program at California State University-Northridge.

    Outside of the therapy office, Curt is an avid runner. He is a USA Track & Field Level 2 Endurance Coach and has completed more than a dozen marathons, and many more half marathons and shorter races. Curt has coached several athletes to personal records, including qualifying for and competing in the famed Boston Marathon.
